It's been this price on Tesco Direct for ages. Amazon just price match their competition every once in a while.
Metroid please.
Now, please be aware that I love new IPs. I'm all about creativity and development without limits. But Nintendo foolishly tasked Retro with a DK clone rather than a Metroid title, and they have to course-correct.
That said, Metroid could well make for an NX launch title.
Agreed. It's a bit like a car (edit: automobile, I'm British) - you can scrimp on a few things, but tyres, brakes and engine should be the best you can afford.
Okay, that was a terrible analogy. Still agreed though.
That said, PC gaming doesn't have to cost the Earth. You can still save money, and then rack up massive discounts on games once you absorb the initial build costs.
Hurt me more, Snake!
I know what you mean. For me it's the handholding that gets me, the way most games over-explain everything and mollycoddle us every step of the way. It's nice when a game respects us enough to learn by doing, collaborate, experiment and improve.
It's good to see a new wave of articles giving a more personal take on Bloodborne. Helps people decide whether it's the right kind of game for them, or if they're up to the challenge. More useful than a review IMO.
Partly because I'm glad that others are in the same boat as me: getting destroyed but still totally loving it!
@Lord_Sloth: YES. That's exactly what I've been thinking, but never quite managed to put my finger on it. Feels quite a bit like the original (3D) Ninja Gaiden at times in terms of intensity, skill ceiling and milisecond-perfect timing.
Interesting notion, that. I think that you might actually find DS2 easier than Bloodborne, at least starting out with the new SotFS tweaks. That said, the combat isn't quite as brutally engaging IMO.
They're very different games IMO - Dark Souls 2 more a traditional dark fantasy experience, while Bloodborne is more aggressive, desperate and dynamic but perhaps lacks the safety net of the new SotFS challenge curve and rebalanced enemies. Genuinely feel Bloodborne is the tougher game.
Either way, think most people will get both - and Xbox One/PC owners have something new to play too.
Looks great, love the idea of the dynamic/interactive cover system.
NB: this is not an April Fool, before anyone asks.
You could buy it for her?
That's ridiculous(ly awesome).
And annoying because I bought a PS4 last week after waiting for so long. Still, hey, I can play Bloodborne now rather than waiting until June.
That's some handsome looking merch.
Probably take longer playing with all the bumf than the game lasts, too. Value!
Yeah, feel like it was a bit of a botch job. Kinda half-baked, nice idea but so simplistic and boring.
Yeah, good price for physical. Enjoyed the demo.
Interesting. I've heard very mixed reports of Hardline's campaign, but actually sounds kind of fun here. I'm a sucker for cop shows.
The tweet doesn't exist. April fools, obviously.
Damn right. Though admittedly Bloodborne does spend about five hours making you slog through the same foes to get back to each boss until you learn the attack patterns!
Just do it. Can't imagine new copies will get much cheaper considering the reviews.
